Rental Advisory for Indian Students
Home › Rental Advisory for Indian Students

Indian students are advised to arrange for their accommodation on campus with their educational institutions or research information about accommodation outside campus well before arrival in Ireland. The properties market in Ireland reports shortages in supply of proper and affordable accommodation for students, leading to some instances of students being cheated by unscrupulous elements. Indian students are therefore advised to be prudent and cautious in dealing with any unauthorised persons who may promise accommodation to them. A few precautions to be kept in mind are given below -
Students are advised to be aware of scams and not part with any money in advance unless certain of the validity of the accommodation offer and to always view accommodation before paying any deposits or signing a lease.

Students should check with college’s Accommodation Office for lists of suitable accommodations and landlords. Useful websites to check for accommodation are Daft.ie and MyHome.ie for listings.
