IMPORTANT NOTICE

A separate ICWF (Indian Community Welfare Fund) account is now being fully operational w.e.f 01.12.2015. An amount of €2/- for ICWF was included as service charge for all the services provided (i.e Visa, Passport, OCI & misc services etc.). Henceforth, applicants are advised to submit two separate Bank draft/Postal Order one for visa/passport/OCI/Misc charges and another for €2/- for ICWF which may be paid either in Postal Order/Bank draft. Both the Bank drafts/Postal Order should be in favour of the Indian Embassy.

Power of Attorney

  1. The document in original with one photocopy of document
  2. Two passport size photographs of the depondent
  3. Original passport and photocopy of passport
  4. Depondent to appear before Consular Officer and sign in his/her presence.
  5. Power of Attorney documents will not be accepted by post.
  6. Postal order or Bank draft for €27/- per document favouring ‘Embassy of India, Dublin’

Commercial and other documents originating in Ireland

All documents originating in Ireland, such as Commercial documents, etc for purpose of presentation in India should  be attested by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Iveagh House, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin before being sent to India. As India and Ireland are signatories to The Hague Convention on Apostille of Public Documents, there is no requirement to get these documents further attested in this Embassy. 

Documents originating in India - (Certificates of birth, death, marriage, divorce, education, legal heirship etc)

All documents originating in India to be attested in this Embassy for purpose of presentation in Ireland should first be attested by the Consular Section, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Patiala House, New Delhi, Branch Secretariats or other designated offices in various cities of India before submission.

  1. The document in original with one photocopy of the document, including the attestation of the MEA
  2. Postal order or Bank draft for €27/- per document favouring ‘Embassy of India, Dublin’
